CPAC Green Solution joins forces with OR to launch “PTT Station Phuttamonthon Sai 3” under its “Green Station” concept, covering 5-rais of land. The new station provides all facilities to serve all groups of customers including the handicapped. From design to construction, it has chosen the most advanced solutions to boost efficiency, quality and accuracy during working process. Meanwhile, the solutions help shorten the time, reduce waste, minimize dust and noise pollution, as well as maximize the utilization of resources in line with the environmental, social and governance policy. This move will make the construction of gas stations go the green route and meet the global standard. The new station will be ready for first service on 4 April 2022.

Mr. Chuchoke Sevakunarkon, Managing Director of CPAC and Executive Director of CPAC Construction Solution, Cement and Building Materials Business, SCG, reveals that CPAC Green Solution’s policy aims to enhance Thailand’s construction standard to be more environmentally-conscious by maximizing the utilization of resources, curtailing environmental pollution including dust and boosting efficiency and accuracy in works. This is a main reason to cooperate with PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) to develop PTT Station Phuttamonthon Sai 3 to be an end-to-end gas station under the “green station” concept. It has adopted digital and construction technology together with modular construction method in both design and construction processes. Each module was completed off-site prior to on-site installation. Such working process has shortened on-site construction process and saved working hours. In addition, its “Turn Waste to Value” construction process helps eliminate unnecessary waste and maximize the resource utilization without generating more pollution. Its solutions have created a sustainable growth to the country’s construction industry.

For the Modular Construction method that “CPAC Green Solution” used in the construction of PTT Station Phuttamonthon Sai 3, it provides solutions in every step, starting from a design process that it used BIM Solution (Building Information Modeling) for construction data management, which gives the overall picture of the project and improves communication in a team to increase effectiveness and reduce mistakes. The company pays attention to safety and convenience for every design to serve all groups of customers. For the structure, the project selected only high-quality precast concrete in customized size which can fit perfectly for the onsite installation. Unit bathrooms are also fabricated from the factory before being installed at the site. Both precast concrete posts and unit bathrooms reduce unnecessary waste, limit pollution emission, and shorten the installation period. Besides, the steel structure of the gas station canopy is built with Steel Solution by SYS, which enables it to consume less steel and be more flexible to create a unique design. Floor Solution which is part of its outdoor floor helps using less steel in construction, while maintaining the strength of the floor with a longer lifespan. It is also installed a rubber flooring system to prevent slippery incidents when it rains. Last is the landscape which adds more green area to purify the air for customers.

Mr. Chuchoke added that another highlight of PTT Station Phuttamonthon Sai 3 is an adoption of “CPAC 3D Printing Solution” in the construction of a two-storey Café Amazon. This 3D Concrete Printing technology helps fabricate concrete structure at the factory before assembling on site, which creates uniqueness to the building. The 3D Printing Solution turns free-form construction into the reality with no design constraints.  CPAC Green Solution’s innovation aims to enhance Thailand’s construction industry to meet the international environmentally-friendly standard by developing and its Go Green technology in line with SCG’s ESG 4 Plus target – Net Zero, Go Green, Reduce Inequality and Embrace Collaboration – and secure more partnership with leading organizations to emphasize CPAC Green Solution concept.
