Reaffirming that architecture plays a vital role in every story from the past to the present and into the future, the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA), together with TTF International Co., Ltd, held a press conference to announce their readiness for Architect’25—the largest building technology exposition in ASEAN—under the theme “Past Present Perfect”. The event will feature exhibitions and a wide range of special activities, along with displays of comprehensive design and construction innovations from over 1,000 leading Thai and international brands. It is expected to draw over 325,000 visitors from around the world during its 6-day run from April 29 to May 4, 2025, at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.

Mr. Asae Sukhyanga, President of the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA), said that Architect’25 will mark another significant milestone in showcasing exhibitions on the occasion of the ASA’s 90th anniversary. Scheduled for April 29 – May 4, 2025, at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, the event will follow the concept “Past Present Perfect”, providing an opportunity to reflect on the journey of Thai architecture from past to present. Architects have collaborated with various professions across regions as well as explored and reassessed the direction of Thai architecture through eras, including integrating techniques and cultures in the past, adapting to evolving environments and societal needs, and linking the past with the present to assess the path and the stories between people and the identity of architects to envision the future together.

In addition to its purpose of connecting global professionals in architecture through exhibitions, seminars, and knowledge-sharing sessions that support the advancement of the architectural profession and knowledge development, Architect’25 will also reflect art and culture, help drive the national economy, and serve as a platform for showcasing design works, construction materials, and architectural innovations at an international level. The event will cover an extensive area of 75,000 Sq.m, with participation from leading global brands. With a compelling exhibition lineup, insightful seminars, and comprehensive products and services, the event is expected to attract over 325,000 visitors from Thailand and abroad over its 6-day period.

Mr. Than Srijan, Chairman of Architect’25, revealed that Architect’25 will feature notable exhibitions, including “Past Present Perfect” exhibition which explores architectural values from the past, gathers data, analyzes it, and reinterprets it through architects, professors, and students from new-blooded design schools, to connect all generations together and interpret the past for the future. Next is “From the First Piece to the Latest,” showcasing two works: the architect’s first design and their most recent piece, demonstrating growth and progress. Another exhibition is “Story of 3 Generations” a conversation with illustrations of people from different age groups and different careers. The event also includes the Thailand Interior Designers Association (TIDA)’s exhibition, “TALA: Thai-Tai” exhibition and academic seminars, and the Thai Urban Designers Association (TUDA)’s exhibition. Each zone offers various activities, such as architectural consultations, membership registration, prize giveaways, and merchandise sales from the associations, and etc.

Moreover, it also features exhibitions from four architectural organizations: the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA), Thailand Interior Designers Association (TIDA), Thai Association of Landscape Architects (TALA), and Thai Urban Designers Association (TUDA). Academic exhibitions include the “ASA Experimental Design Competition,” an international conceptual design contest open to ASA members, architects, students, and the public to submit their works under the theme “Future Nostalgia In Architecture”.

The professional exhibitions include ASA Conservation, showcasing award-winning architectural conservation projects in 2025; ASA Vernadoc 2025, presenting architectural documentation with Vernadoc method; and a heritage conservation project in honor of Maha Thera Udumbara. Other conservation exhibitions are presented by educational institutions, public sector and organizational urban design competitions, and the ASA TOD exhibition promoting Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) for sustainable land use. Another featured event is a “Flood and Grandma Tiam’s Hat” seminar from generosity to amphibious emergency shelters for communities.

The event will also feature activity and service zones such as ACT+ASA Shop: a space for selling books and souvenirs, ACT+ASA Club: a community and rest area for ASA members, Volunteer Architect Corner: providing free house design consultations, ASA Night (new format): a traditional networking event for ASA members of all ages and backgrounds, ASA Day Hey: a concert for entertaining and uniting members across all generations, including a special highlight “ASA Day Hey Student Band Audition 2025” competition to find a band for the opening show of ASA Day Hey.

On the academic side, the ASA Forum & Professional Seminar will focus on intergenerational knowledge exchange. The ASA International Forum 3 Gen will feature international architects whose works reflect their respective backgrounds in each era. Meanwhile, ASA Professional Seminar will host Thai experts from different fields relevant to current architectural practice. This year will have a special ASA Classroom, offering workshops and training in architectural software and hands-on activities.

Mr. Supaman Munka, General Manager of TTF International Co., Ltd, the organizer of Architect’25, said that Architect’25 marks a major step forward for taking Thailand’s architecture and construction industries to international level by focusing on presenting innovative products and cutting-edge construction technologies that meet rapidly changing market demands. The Thai architecture and construction industry is gradually recovering, driven by large-scale government and private investments while trends in sustainability and environmental preservation lead to the expansion of the construction materials market and modern lifestyle design solutions.

These pavilions emphasize green technology, future materials, sustainable design, and digital technologies as applicable real-world construction alternatives. SCG, the leading brand in building and construction industry, will present new solutions under the theme “SEAMLESS QUALITY LIVING”, promoting sustainable materials and eco-friendly innovations such as “Waste to Construction” that utilizes the waste and “Low Carbon Materials” that lower carbon footprint. They’ll also debut clean-energy and air-quality-enhancing solutions for a better living, along with a special Green Collaboration project premiering at the event for the first time.

To accommodate visitors, free shuttle services will be provided between the venue and major MRT stations (Chatuchak Park, Rama 9) from 9:30 AM to 8:30 PM. Additionally, special privileges from over 29 leading brands across food, beverages, hotels, and transportation categories, for example, Bangkok Airways, Grab, Bolt, LINE MAN RIDE, TK Palace Hotel, Best Western Plus Wanda Grand Hotel, and restaurants around the venue will be offered to create impressive experiences to all visitors.

Mr. Supaman concluded that Architect’25 will be a crucial platform to promote Thailand’s architecture and construction industries to grow stably through knowledge exchange and serious business networking. It will offer a compelling experience to attract global investors and professionals to better understand Thailand’s architecture and construction, leading to generate more income to the Thai design-construction-property businesses and enhancing Thai entrepreneurs to international competitiveness.

Architect’25 under the theme “Past Present Perfect”, will be held on April 29 – May 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM, at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
