Join us in revealing the full art postbox from the works of three talented artists at the Art in the Box (ready to deliver) Exhibition from today – 3 DEC ’23 at CENTRAL: THE ORIGINAL STORE
The exhibition, “Art in the Box (ready to deliver)”, features the works of three talented artists, Stylepor, Miwd, and Flowskull. The concept metaphorically suggests that the artists have brought their works to the audience for them to physically see original works before making a decision, in contrast to today’s trend of shopping online where one can only view items on a screen.
Convenience and the demand for instant satisfaction are highly valued by the majority of people in today’s world. With only a tap of the screen, you may get everything you want delivered to your door in a box.
In this exhibition, artists share their interpretations on what may be in each person’s mailbox while at the same time, urging viewers to momentarily step outside reality to allow themselves to behold their potential creativity. The contents of each box, in the process of reconnecting with tangible art, is left up to the creativity of each individual artist, making every box special and inspiring in its own way.
Art lovers are also invited to explore the imaginations of these three talented artists via pieces of artwork that highlight their most original concepts and characteristic lines.
STYLEPOR
A creative line artist conveys his art through the concept of ‘opening seals’ – releasing worries and stepping into the world of imagination. Por created the box of “Freedom, Imagination and Happiness” to encourage visitors to discover their own sense of freedom and happiness by envisioning a world created by their own imagination. In his opinion, he defines freedom as something that we need, happiness as the ultimate goal of striving for freedom, and imagination as a manifestation of freedom that exists without rules or limitations. It is something that brings true happiness.
“This box is mine to provide to you. Everyone can enjoy themselves and have freedom with this box by envisioning a universe that is a result of one’s own inventiveness. In a fantasy realm, the rules are your own and anything you can imagine can be created. You can do anything and be anybody; your imagination is boundless, like a bird that can soar to the highest point on the horizon. You have the ability to make this world vast and lovely or construct a completely new one.
Imagination is more than just the ability to imagine a world. It is also an investigation of the inner self. You may better understand your emotions and find contentment in what you have and truly know who you are by using your imagination.
MIWD (madeitwhendrunk)
Artist and actor, sees current technology in its many platforms as a way of enabling artwork to reach a wider audience more rapidly, which, in his view, is a wonderful development. “People are becoming increasingly accustomed to consuming and purchasing art through their smartphone screens,” he says.
On the other hand, attending an event in person provides an atmospheric sensation that a screen cannot replicate. In this case, MIWD has analogized the screen as a transparent box where, even though you can see what’s inside, you cannot touch it.
FLOWSKULL
Artist with unique lines, conveys his art through the concept of Feel Good Mood Vibe “Today is a bright day, and I will go wherever art takes me…”
“A writer’s personal handwriting is what typically gives a ‘letter’ its appeal. The message that a writer intends to convey to the receiver is reflected in a letter. The postbox itself is also rather beautiful because the postbox serves as a conduit for romantic messages between both the sender and the recipient. For me, the postbox has always represented a ‘Box of Happiness’ since, naturally, love, before technology, could not exist without it. Therefore, I want every brushstroke I use on my paintings to reflect this love, and to package it in my box to all of you whom I love with all my heart.”
