Frasers Property Industrial (Thailand) or “FPIT”, ASEAN’s leading provider of modern industrial property development in Thailand, under Frasers Property Group (Thailand) Public Company Limited or “FPT” reaffirmed its position as the leading industrial real estate developer by delivering a Built-to-Suit warehouse with an area of 73,000 square metres, or equivalent to 12 football fields to a warehouse and transportation service company of the leading e-commerce platform in Thailand. Sited at a strategic logistics location in Wang Noi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, this warehouse is the largest and most sophisticated sorting centre in ASEAN. It is equipped with state-of-the-art automation systems that raise the speed and efficiency of product distribution to consumers across the country 24 hours a day. FPIT remains optimistic that it will continue to satisfy the demands of tenants across several sectors in 2023 with their high-quality land banks and buildings.

Mr. Sopon Racharaksa, Chief Executive Officer at Frasers Property Industrial (Thailand) Company Limited, stated that the company delivered a Built-to-Suit warehouse building with a size of 73,000 square metres on 74 rai of land in the Frasers Property Logistics Park project (Wang Noi 2), Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, to a warehouse and transportation service provider of the leading e-commerce platform in Thailand. It is considered Southeast Asia’s largest and most modern sorting centre, located on Thailand’s strategic logistics location, which facilitates efficient and quick parcel sorting and distribution to various areas.

“The key competitive factor of e-commerce industry is the efficiency of customer service in terms of speed and accuracy of delivery. The company has used its experience and professional team to design and develop this modern warehouse building in accordance with international standards and customer needs. The warehouse can support warehouse management system automation, fulfill the needs for modernity, increase the efficiency and speed of logistics to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction, and support the growth of Thai e-commerce business, which is expected to have a total market value of more than 600 billion baht this year,” Mr. Sopon stated.

The size of this sorting centre is equivalent to 12 football fields. The design of the building consists of a variety of outstanding features, including 260 Double Cross-Docking doors around the building to support receiving and delivering packages simultaneously, facilitating sorting and distribution activities of a large number of parcels in a short time. The warehouse is also equipped with high-quality flat floors with a load capacity of 3 tons and can be installed with an automatic Sorting System throughout the building, supporting 24-hour continuous operation. The office space and facilities within the building facilitate the work of over 1,000 employees per day. The building was designed under the concept of sustainability with the development of buildings and systems that are environmentally friendly while increasing the well-being of building occupants and surrounding communities and helping tenants in saving on energy management costs and other related resources.

Mr. Sopon also added that the overall Thai economy is likely to continue to recover in 2023, mainly thanks to the inbound traveling for both investment and tourism purposes, the business expansion investment in the private sector, and the expansion of infrastructure across the country, all of which are positive factors driving the demand for additional factory and warehouse space. In particular, the e-commerce industry continues to grow brightly as consumers spend more through e-commerce platforms. FPIT, as the No. 1 developer of industrial real estate with a total area under management of over 3.4 million square metres, aims to deliver more than 150,000 square metres of building to customers this year with a large number of land banks spread in strategic locations across all regions of Thailand that are prepared to support the business expansion of tenants in various industry groups as well.
