Dusit Central Park Unveils New Landmark with Thailand’s Largest Urban Roof Park, inviting Thai People Worldwide to Join the Naming Campaign ‘Roof Park at Dusit Central Park: The Landmark of Thai Pride’
Vimarn Suriya Company Limited — the developer of Dusit Central Park, a world-class complete mixed-use development project under “Here for Bangkok” concept and the developer of The Residences at Dusit Central Park, Bangkok’s finest Ultra luxury residential development in Super Core CBD of Silom – Rama 4 – revealed detailed elements of Thailand’s Largest Urban Roof Park – a sky garden in the heart of the city spanning an expansive 7 rai (11,200 square meters) with comprehensive facilities that integrate lifestyle functions with natural sciences, featuring trees, wildlife, and small insects. The rooftop park sets to be established as a new landmark of happiness that accommodates the lifestyles of all people, whether they are Thais and international visitors, regardless of gender or age. Simultaneously, the company invites Thai people worldwide to participate in the ‘Roof Park at Dusit Central Park: The Landmark of Thai Pride’ naming campaign contest, offering prizes including airline tickets with accommodation at Dusit Thani Kyoto Hotel in Japan, among other rewards. The campaign runs from July 1 to August 15, 2025.
Ms. Suphajee Suthumpun, Group Chief Executive Officer, Dusit Thani Public Company Limited, stated, “This Roof Park stems from the vision of our management team who sought to develop the Dusit Central Park beyond merely commercial space on a prime location, but as a space that gives back to society, welcoming everyone regardless of gender or age, accommodating all needs and lifestyles to deliver happiness while elevating quality of life and urban quality for Thai people and tourists worldwide. This is achieved through creating a large green space covering 7 rai (11,200 square meters) spanning from the 4th floor continuously to the 7th floor, serving as the heart that connects all components of the entire Dusit Central Park project. This marks the first time in the real estate industry that a large-scale project in the city center has created green space for public benefit while providing architectural landscape beauty to the project, coupled with delivering an extended park view that seamlessly connects with Lumpini Park. The presence of this Roof Park space also enhances the country’s image across three dimensions: economically by serving as another highlight attracting both Thai and international visitors; socially by providing green space accessible to everyone according to their lifestyle; and environmentally through planting species that help increasing oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide, capture and reduce PM10 and PM2.5 dust particles, reduce temperature, and increase humidity for cooler, more comfortable air through waterfalls distributed throughout various locations.
The creation of Roof Park extends beyond functional responses as it encourages users to be closer to nature that enhances health and well-being. The design accommodates different lifestyles, serving as a viewpoint, social gathering space, dining area, children’s playground, and amphitheater capable of hosting various activities including art exhibitions, music performances, and mini events for special occasions. The development enables the space to create its own complete ecosystem through carefully selected trees, making this area home to birds, beneficial insects, and small animals that truly support natural existence. This addresses sustainability through creating a quality urban ecosystem for everyone. We have set the goal for the Roof Park to be “Thailand’s Largest Urban Roof Park” with easy access through seamless connections to mass transit systems including BTS Sala Daeng Station and MRT Silom Station, comparable to world-renowned parks designed for everyone’s use located on prime locations in city centers such as Central Park in New York and Hyde Park in London.”
Ms. Suphajee affirmed, “Beyond creating environmental and ecosystem benefits that elevate urban ecology, increasing green space for Bangkok, and encouraging society to recognise the importance of preserving green areas which greatly benefit humans psychologically, we allow nature to complete every component including natural shapes, patterns, and textures. This includes creating green landscapes from natural materials, atmospheres of bird sounds, waterfall sounds and refreshing touches, enhancing experiences through all five senses, enabling visitors to feel deeply connected with nature. From a work perspective, this provides therapeutic calm and relaxation while positively affecting work efficiency, stimulating creativity, and creating relational dimensions in management including problem-solving, reasoning, and strategic planning effectiveness. Thus, this Roof Park serves as a space that elevates quality of life alongside urban quality and can grow sustainably on a global level.”
