Sansiri emphasizes Thailand’s first Prop Tech leadership, Enhancing Sansiri Home Service Application via Siri Ventures, Heading toward using full version of AI voice command system, Joining hand with GDG Thailand to host Actions on Google Hackathorn on Dec 15-16

Sansiri has fostered its position as the first Prop Tech leader in Thailand by enhancing Sansiri Home Service Application through its venture capital arm, Siri Ventures. It gears toward a digital era by adopting AI technology to automate two platforms, Sansiri Home Service Application and Google Assistant, with voice command system. It also plans to develop other more features in 2019 to meet the requirement of smart home and grant an exclusive lifestyle to Sansiri’s customers in every project. Besides, together with GDG Thailand, it co-hosts a smart living-focussed hackathorn on December 15-16.    

Mr.Jirapat Janjerdsak, Chief Technology Officer of SIRI VENTURES Co., Ltd, a joint venture between Sansiri Pcl and Siam Commercial Bank that focuses on full-scale research and development of Property Technology (Prop Tech), said it has strong determination to do research and development on Prop Tech and Living Tech continuously. Its latest move is forming the partnership with ONIONSHACK, an AI chat, voice and image startup, to develop AI on two main platforms, which are 1. Home Service Application – A private assistant mobile application exclusively for Sansiri’s customers and 2. Google Assistant – An assistant service on Android smart phones. The company aims these AI technologies will create a more comfortable living through a voice-controlled system for residents and satisfy their smart home lifestyle.

“A voice-controlled system has become more popular in Thailand. We see the trend that more people use voice command feature while manufacturers have developed more voice-controlled products to sell on the market. Siri Ventures believes that the AI-based voice command products including Home Automation will become the mainstream lifestyle trend soon. Therefore, we have to speed up developing the most effective AI-based voice command system in Thai language so that it will no longer be seen only in the movie,” he said.

 

The Thai voice command feature on Home Service App comprises 4 main services which are 1. Home Automation – controlling all equipment with smart home system 2. Facility Booking – booking the using period of common area 3. Check Outstanding Balance – tracking the status of utility expenses and installment and 4. Home Care – requesting repair service and tracking repair status.

 

To chat with Sansiri’s AI in Thai on Google Assistant platform currently can be done with two main services which are Check Outstanding Balance and Home Care. The company is accelerating the development to enable Home Automation and Facility Booking services on the platform soon.

 

Mr.Jirapat said it moves forward developing the mentioned AI technology to learn and understand human’s behavior better. It plans to enable AI technology to have better conversation by 2019 and continues developing more features such as recognizing the users’ voice, differentiating voice tone as well as recognizing users’ behavior and regular command so that it can respond to each resident individually. Besides, the company plans to add other features such as mail box checking, weather forecast, email checking, phone number searching, message to juristic persons and language support in English and Chinese. Google Assistant also has capability to connect with the third party service such as ordering products and ordering food.

Currently, Home Service App has been used by over 20,000 residents in Sansiri’s projects nationwide. In the future, it believes that the number of users will grow considerably as Sansiri has around 80,000 to 100,000 residents and also develops new projects continuously.

 

Mr.Jirapat added that the company and Google Developer Group Thailand (GDG Thailand) will jointly host the first Actions on Google Hackathon on December 15-16, on the fifth floor at The Emporium. The main topic is Google Assistant with the sub topic of Smart Living. The company expects that this hackathon will help encourage new ideas, related to living technology, and be able to further develop Sansiri’s services in the future.
