Ms. Kamolthip Bumrungchatudom, Chief Business Group Condominium, AP Thailand Public Co., Ltd., commented on the achievement of winning the GOOD DESIGN AWARD saying: “This achievement marks a historic milestone for Thailand’s residential real estate sector, with AP becoming the first and only Thai developer to receive two GOOD DESIGN AWARD accolades in a single year for two condominium projects developed in strong collaboration with Japanese partner Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd.

This success demonstrates that exceptional quality of life begins with a profound ‘understanding of life itself.’ At AP, our team focuses not only on functional design, delivering quality homes, and attentive services, but also on addressing ‘The Unspoken Needs’ — the desires and feelings that are never expressed — while ensuring our developments contribute to sustainable living and city environments.”

“Understanding life” is the foundation of good living quality. The two projects from the AP and Mitsubishi Estate partnership recognised by the GOOD DESIGN AWARD: RHYTHM Ekkamai Estate and LIFE Sathorn Sierra, exemplify this philosophy, reflecting a grand vision of living quality through designs that seamlessly connect people with nature and the city.

Mr. Kittichet Sathitnoppachai, Deputy Chief Corporate and Digital Marketing Officer, AP Thailand Public Co., Ltd., shared his thoughts on the two condominium projects that received the GOOD DESIGN AWARD: The prestigious GOOD DESIGN AWARD accolades awarded to two AP condominium projects serve as global recognition of AP’s profound understanding of people’s lives. This achievement reflects the five key dimensions of the G Mark: user understanding, excellence in innovation, sustainability, problem-solving and comprehensive quality.

Both RHYTHM Ekkamai Estate and LIFE Sathorn Sierra are not the latest completely built condominiums. AP decided to submit them for the GOOD DESIGN AWARD well after residents moved in since 2022, because the company wanted time to demonstrate the perfection of living quality and real practicality. This includes the successful conservation of

60-year-old trees, which serve as living memories of a home in the heart of Ekkamai, ensuring the project grows sustainably with its residents and the surrounding community. The design also fosters biodiversity in the common areas, allowing residents, birds, butterflies, insects, and flora to thrive together in a sustainable ecosystem. This illustrates that AP’s condominium designs do not stop at completing the buildings and delivering them to customers; instead, they grow sustainably alongside every life within the project.”

The two AP condominium projects awarded the GOOD DESIGN AWARD: The first and only Thai property developer to achieve world-class living quality.

1. RHYTHM Ekkamai Estate: Conserving 60-year-old trees to create a ‘home of memories’

RHYTHM Ekkamai Estate – ReGrowth Ekkamai won the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2025. The project started from a strong intention to value nature as the first priority, especially the preservation of 60-year-old trees before any design work commenced — a new model for property development that puts nature first. It led to the creation of ‘shared green space’ which became a ‘home of memories’ right in the heart of Ekkamai, benefitting residents, society and nature in the heart of a big city.

The GOOD DESIGN AWARD committee commented on RHYTHM Ekkamai Estate – ReGrowth Ekkamai: “The development of a condominium in the heart of the city is commendable for the challenge of moving and conserving three old trees that remain in the area, because we recognise that no matter how much the investment, it is impossible to recreate the dimension and presence of trees that have accumulated over time.

These three trees in the project are not only ecological assets but are also a ‘precious home of memories’ for both residents and the local community. Importantly, the project demonstrates the role of a property developer in integrating sustainability, enabling city dwellers to connect with and share the natural value of these trees. Such real estate development fosters a deeper, tangible connection to both the land and the built environment.”

2. LIFE Sathorn Sierra complements living quality with biodiversity

LIFE Sathorn Sierra – LIVING TERRAIN: A Layered Habitat has been honoured with the Good Design Award 2025 for its outstanding design of condominium common areas that thoughtfully consider the natural context and create an interconnected environment — a Layered Habitat that provides a rich, harmonious living experience for residents, birds, butterflies, insects, trees and the urban ecosystem alike.

The achievement reflects AP’s deep understanding of biodiversity in the design of the common area of the condo, which conceived as more than just green spaces, but as essential elements of living quality. These spaces nurture residents’ emotional well-being, offering a sense of calm and restoration for those seeking refuge from the fast pace of city life. The project stands as proof of a modern property developer’s potential to serve as a driving force for sustainable cohabitation between urban life, nature and the city’s continual growth.

Summary of the comments by the GOOD DESIGN AWARD committee on LIFE Sathorn Sierra – LIVING TERRAIN: A Layered Habitat LIFE Sathorn Sierra represents outstanding condominium development and design that aims to harmonise with nature and restore ecological balance within urban living environments. The common area known as LIVING TERRAIN: A Layered Habitat features a five-level communal space platform that not only enhances residents’ quality of life, physical well-being and mental health but also contributes to the protection of urban biodiversity by systematically integrating nature into the architectural structure.”

“The project’s landscape, comprising an interconnected network of gardens, walkways, and swimming pools, provides spaces for exercise and relaxation for residents across 1,971 units while simultaneously fostering an urban ecosystem that attracts birds, butterflies and various insects. This achievement was made possible through close collaboration among multiple disciplines, including the AP Design Lab, architecture, landscape architecture and engineering teams.”

“While most condominiums view green areas as ornamental, this project innovatively addresses the shortage of green space in dense urban settings by positioning nature at the heart of life and seamlessly merging it with architecture. Most noteworthy is its tangible commitment to biodiversity – not merely through landscape design but by re-creating a

natural environment within the city. It serves as a meaningful model for the coexistence of nature and urban development, with the potential to inspire future urban design.”

Winning the award serves as further proof of AP’s commitment to developing residential properties grounded in the philosophy that “a good life begins with understanding of living” to deliver “Living Quality — in Your Own Way,” ensuring all Thais have Cheevit Dee Dee Tee Lueak Eng Dai.” Today, this vision and commitment have been recognised and valued on an international stage, affirming AP’s position at the forefront of international residential design standards.
