Central: The Original Store Unveils a Contemporary Art Space, Inviting Visitors to Explore “State of Mind” Through an Exhibition by Kamsak Atipiboonsin
Central: The Original Store reinforces its role as a hub of inspiration and creativity with the launch of the contemporary art exhibition ‘State of Mind’ by artist Kamsak Atipiboonsin. The exhibition showcases his distinctive abstract works, characterized by the expressive use of oil paint, textured surfaces, and dynamic brushstrokes to convey emotion rather than relying on literal or narrative imagery. Bold and vibrant colors are a key element, encouraging viewers to interpret the works freely, drawing meaning from the emotions and energy emanating from each piece rather than from conventional storytelling. Having achieved recognition through both group exhibitions alongside other Thai artists and solo shows, this exhibition serves as another platform for the artist to express his identity through abstraction. Kamsak Atipiboonsin has been active in the art world for over 30 years.
The ‘State of Mind’ exhibition invites audiences to explore the “mental states” of people living in today’s world, one defined by constant acceleration, confusion, and relentless pressure. Through more than 18 abstract paintings, the works candidly reflect inner emotions, feelings, and psychological vibrations. They offer a perspective on the modern world that, while appearing fast-moving, sharp, and demanding of instant responses on the surface, conceals beneath it a sense of fragility, tension, and emptiness that quietly erodes the human psyche.
