Central: The Original Store unveils a world of art and invites everyone to experience the fusion of dual art styles, blending the real and virtual worlds, from today until 5 February 2025
Central: The Original Store, a new cultural hub in the heart of the Charoen Krung district, has transformed its third and fourth floors into an Art Space, featuring two exceptional art exhibitions. Art enthusiasts and culture seekers are invited to explore this creative world and experience art in new dimensions. These two special exhibitions will be displayed simultaneously from today until 5 February 2025.
The first exhibition, “FROM ABSTRACTION TO REALISM: A VIRTUAL REALITY EXPLORATION,” invites you to step into a world of painting that breaks all boundaries. This space of emotions and truth in the virtual world, located at Central Space, level 3, questions the line between abstract and realistic painting. It invites visitors to explore the meaning of “reality” through the perspectives of artists who present their works using traditional media blended with virtual reality (VR) technology, creating a unique art-viewing experience.
Explore the works of talented artists, including Poti, Pariwat Anantachina, Amy Diener, David Rodriguez, Faranak Vlinder, Lilith’s Studio Th., Neil Smith, Htet Aung Lhai, Maria Kazanets, Ros W.P., Tip Twins, Red Salonga, Ratchawut Guruwongwatthana, Sri Oct, Ratthawut Chaiwongkajorn, and many more. Their creations range from 3D paintings and sculptures by abstract artists to immersive VR experiences by realistic artists. Enjoy live painting demonstrations in the virtual world, offering a unique opportunity to witness the artistic process unfold in an entirely new dimension. The exhibition provides an open space for everyone to explore the meaning of abstract painting, delving into a world of emotions and feelings open to interpretation, and realistic painting, reflecting tangible reality by combining traditional media with cutting-edge VR technology.
The exhibition also hosts weekly workshops, offering visitors the opportunity to create their own VR artworks, print them in 3D, and paint them on-site. This initiative represents a significant step in blending classical art with cutting-edge technology, redefining how art is both created and experienced.
