Carrying on with ‘The Power of One’ concept to promote creation of sustainable values and benefits for the community, society, environment and the whole nation

Asset World Foundation for Charity under Asset World Corporation joins forces with The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and business operators in Sathorn district and business partners to launch the “GIVE GREEN CBD: SYNERGY POWER 2020” project for the 8^th consecutive year. This year’s event continues ‘The Power of One’ concept to contribute values and benefits to the community, society, environment and the whole nation in a sustainable manner, while integrating omni-channel for fundraising to embrace the New Normal lifestyle amidst the ongoing health and safety challenges we face. Starting from December 2020 through to April 2021, the project will consist of three elements – Sathorn District Charity Christmas Tree highlighting the ‘One Give One Gift’ concept at the end of December 2020, AWC Charity Market Around which is a charity flea market that will launch in March 2021 and the “Pun Fun” project in which scholarships, school stationery and sports equipment will be donated to the youth and children in need in April 2021.

With the current escalating health and safety concerns, the GIVE GREEN CBD: SYNERGY POWER 2020 project integrates omni-channel into its donation program to offer touchless interaction and reduce contact between people with interactive features allowing participants to make merit both online and offline via three main activities of the GIVE GREEN CBD: SYNERGY POWER 2020 project:

1. Sathorn District Charity Christmas Tree – The power of extending happiness to shape a better society – a Christmas tree of sharing for a better environment and society invites everyone to make this year’s festive celebration more meaningful by extending happiness to the children and youth of schools and communities in need. Featuring the concept of “One Give One Gift”, the iconic Christmas tree of Sathorn is created from recycled bioPET bottles to raise public awareness on sustainable solid waste management and the benefits of recycling, while engaging visitors and passers-by in a gift giving activity by scanning the QR code at the Christmas tree to send a message of blessing and encouragement to the children. The more messages sent will amount to more happiness gained by both the sender and receiver.  Direct donations can also be made to the Asset World Foundation Fund for Charity at the Account Number: 483 1 15405 3, Krungsri Bank, Account Name: Asset World Corp Plc. (Savings Account). All proceeds from the donations will be used to purchase school supplies and sports equipment for the disadvantaged youth.

2. AWC Charity Market Around – The power of sustainable consumption to shape a better society – The charity flea market brings together donated items and merchandise from AWC’s business partners, tenants and leading merchants for sale between March 5 – 12, 2021 with a variety of categories such as; food products, home decorations, health products and eco-friendly products. Proceeds from the sales will be used to purchase school supplies and sports equipment for children and youth in schools and communities with limited resources.

3. The “Pun Fun” project – The power of sustainable giving and sharing – Upon the completion of the fundraising activities under the GIVE GREEN CBD: SYNERGY POWER 2020 program, the Foundation will donate educational equipment, sports equipment, and scholarships to children in 8 schools and communities with limited resources located near AWC affiliated office buildings and hotels in Bangkok and upcountry on April 2, 2021. These schools include – Chumchon Mooban Pattana School, Khlong Toei, Bangkok; Wat Ratchasingkhon School, Bang Kho Laem, Bangkok; Wat Soi Thong School, Bang Sue, Bangkok; Wat Sridonchai Municipal Community School, Chiangmai; Ban Nong Talay School, Krabi; Ban Thap Tai School, Prachuap Khiri Khan; Koh Samui School, Suratthani; and Muang Thalang School, Phuket.

“Empire Tower We Run with Virgin Active”, under the concept of “Green Marathon Run One Cup,” with only one cup of water per person to be consumed throughout the running route. Normally arranged every year, this is postponed to the end of 2021 due to the efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Applications are expected to open in the third quarter of 2021.

Synergy between public and private sectors to uplift the quality of life of the Thai people, starting from the Sathorn district to youths and children across Thailand
