Vanachai Group Plc. (VNG), Thailand’s leading Wood-based Panel producer, has remodeled its business for greater sustainability and profitability with an aim to achieve 20-billion-baht income by 2022. “Woodsmith” retail and marketing business unit, increases the balance of domestic to overseas sales ratio, and construction of biomass power plants and solar rooftop at its manufacturing plants will foster the efficiency of the business remodeling.
As part of the move to increase sustainable profitability, VNG has recently launched “Woodsmith” as its retail and marketing business unit for all Wood-based Panel and finished products. The company plans to open 20 Woodsmith outlets nationwide and targets over 300-million-baht sales by the end of 2019. The new business unit is expected to have a 9 billion baht revenue in 2023.
VNG also plans to bring a balance to its domestic to overseas sales ratio from currently 80:20 to 50:50 to mitigate risks from global economic fluctuation and international trade war.
In parallel, VNG has made a move to enhance productivity by building biomass power plants and solar rooftop at its three manufacturing plants. Such plan will also enable the company to reduce its energy production costs greatly.
