PROUD Achieves Fitwel Certification, Elevating Thailand’s Property Development with Long-Term Resident Well-Being for Sustainable Living
PROUD continues to set new benchmarks in Thailand’s real estate industry as InterContinental Residences Hua Hin, developed by Proud Real Estate Public Company Limited, becomes the first move-in-ready condominium in Thailand and the first condominium under the InterContinental brand globally to receive the prestigious Fitwel Built Certification. With a focus on enhancing wellness standards and long-term resident care, the company is committed to applying globally recognized principles in its future projects, including VEHHA Hua Hin and ROMM Convent, which are expected to be certified in Q1/2025. This reinforces the company’s development philosophy of providing a holistic, sustainable living experience (ALL IS WELL).
Ms. Proudputh Liptapanlop, Director of Proud Real Estate Public Company Limited (PROUD), revealed that “Proud Real Estate is committed to setting a new standard in Thailand’s real estate industry by introducing the Fitwel building standard to certify all of PROUD’s condominium projects. This aims to deliver long-term care and a living experience that goes beyond high-quality construction and exquisite design. It includes services, activities, and resident care that promote health and well-being. The Fitwel building standard is globally recognized, developed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA).
Currently, the InterContinental Residences Hua Hin project has received Fitwel Built Certification in the Multifamily Residential category, making it the first condominium project in Thailand to be certified upon completion of construction and actual occupancy. Additionally, it is the first condominium under the InterContinental brand globally to receive this certification (as referenced in the Fitwel Directory: https://www.fitwel.org/project-directory). The VEHHA Hua Hin and ROMM Convent condominium projects are currently in progress and are expected to receive certification in Q1/2025.”
“PROUD Real Estate’s commitment to Fitwel Certification sets a new benchmark for health and well-being in Thailand’s real estate sector. By prioritizing the wellness of residents, they are not only enhancing living conditions but also fostering a culture of sustainability and community engagement. We applaud their efforts in integrating Fitwel into their projects, ensuring that health-centric design is at the forefront of their vision for a better future.” – Joanna Frank, President & CEO of the Center for Active Design (CfAD) and Active Design Advisors, Inc.
