The Walt Disney Company today celebrated the highly anticipated launch of Disney+ Hotstar<\/strong> with a spectacular star-studded show titled Sawasdee Disney+ Hotstar<\/em><\/strong>,<\/em> featuring celebrity appearances and musical performances set within some of Thailand\u2019s most iconic and recognisable landmarks. Premiering at 7:30pm on the Disney+ Hotstar <\/strong>app and AIS Play \u2013 with a same-time telecast on Workpoint TV \u2013 the 30-minute show will have an encore telecast on Channel One31 at 11:15pm on the same night, and is available to stream on the Disney+ Hotstar<\/strong> app and AIS Play until 8 July, 11:59pm.<\/p>\n

In a heartfelt opening sequence, Sawasdee Disney+ Hotstar<\/em><\/strong> started with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse releasing twinkling lights that flew upwards and across Thailand, illuminating the facades of recognisable sights around the country before beaming into the heart of Bangkok.<\/p>\n

At ICONSIAM, against a stunning backdrop of the Chao Phraya River, hosts Shahkrit Yamnarm (Krit) and Kaneungnij Jaksamittanon (Rodmay) then introduced the launch of Disney+ Hotstar<\/strong> in Thailand and teased viewers with what to expect in a night of many firsts.\u00a0 This included congratulatory messages to Thailand from Hollywood and Korean A-listers such as Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Gong Yoo and the cast of Raya and the Last Dragon<\/em>.<\/p>\n","content_2":"

The first musical performance of the evening was at the grand Phaya Thai Palace, providing<\/p>\n

a majestically ornate and enchanting setting for Violette Wautier, Billkin and Ally, who performed a magical medley of well-loved Disney classics. Presented by AIS 5G, the performance opened on a poignant note by Ally who sang Part of Your World<\/em> (from The Little Mermaid<\/em>) before Billkin launched into Beauty and the Beast<\/em> (from Beauty and the Beast<\/em>) with his signature vocal flair. Violette then performed a stirring rendition of Reflection<\/em> (from Mulan<\/em>), followed by the musical trio coming together to treat viewers to their powerful and emotive take on Into the Unknown <\/em>(from Frozen 2<\/em>).<\/p>\n

This was the first time the Phaya Thai Palace had opened its doors for a music performance by local music powerhouses, underscoring how special and unprecedented the launch of Disney+ Hotstar<\/strong> in Thailand has been.<\/p>\n

In the Grand Finale, music titans Palmy and Peck literally elevated the show to new heights by performing at the stratospheric MahaNakhon Bangkok SkyBar, the sweeping city skyline adding a radiant ambiance to their extraordinary performance. This is the first time Palmy and Peck have performed together, and they delivered a phenomenal set on a beautifully illuminated glass LED stage comprising a solo performance of Circle of Life<\/em> (from The Lion King<\/em>) by Palmy, a solo performance of Let It Go <\/em>(from Frozen<\/em>) by Peck and duetting together on Once Upon a Dream <\/em>(from Sleeping Beauty <\/em>and Maleficent<\/em>) and A Whole New World <\/em>(from Aladdin).<\/p>\n
