Global manufacturing and supply chains are undergoing a profound shift. Driven by macrotrends such as stringent international ESG mandates, complex digitalisation and automation, multinational corporations, particularly those from new S-Curve industries are requiring even greater resilience and integration in their networks.

To reinforce Thailand’s competitive edge as a future-ready investment destination for these industries, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and industry players like ARAYA – The Eastern Gateway, are collaborating to boost industrial infrastructure standards. One example is IEAT’s Smart Industrial Estate certification, which ARAYA Industrial Estate was recently awarded by Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry of Thailand. This underscores strong collaboration between the public and private sectors in advancing Thailand’s industrial estate development capabilities.

The certification from IEAT provides assurance of an industrial estate’s robust infrastructure and its readiness to support next-generation manufacturing and supply chains. This has helped ARAYA to attract customers from high-value manufacturing and technology sectors including Germany’s Infineon Technologies and Korea’s Doosan Corporation. More significantly the new certification reflects the country’s commitment to advancing industrial infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of global investors, particularly those in New S-Curve industries and the rapidly expanding AI supply chain.

Mr. Sumet Tangprasert, Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), said, “Smart Industrial Estates play a vital role in strengthening Thailand’s competitiveness and creating an investment ecosystem that aligns with the future direction of global industries. New S-Curve sectors increasingly prioritise digital infrastructure, energy efficiency, and sustainable development. We are pleased that ARAYA – The Eastern Gateway has achieved the Smart Industrial Estate certification and is contributing to the advancement of Thailand’s industrial standards. IEAT remains committed to supporting the development of more Smart Industrial Estates to further strengthen the country’s long-term investment ecosystem and global competitiveness.”

Ms. Kamonkarn Kongkathong, Managing Director of ARAYA Land Development Company Limited, said, “We recognise that today’s global manufacturers require more than industrial land; they seek reliable infrastructure, intelligent management systems, and an environment that supports sustainable long-term growth. Developing ARAYA Industrial Estate in accordance with Smart Industrial Estate standards enables us to meet these evolving expectations. By integrating advanced technologies and smart solutions throughout the estate, we are enhancing service quality, improving operational efficiency, and delivering operational excellence for our customers.”

ARAYA Industrial Estate is developed in accordance with IEAT’s Seven Dimensions of Smart Industrial Estate framework—comprising Smart Facilities, Smart IT, Smart Energy, Smart Economy, Smart Good Corporate Governance, Smart Living, and Smart Workforce. The industrial estate integrates digital technologies, intelligent infrastructure, energy management, and environmental stewardship into a unified industrial ecosystem. The development is designed to support the operational and sustainability requirements of next-generation manufacturing and advanced technology industries.

ARAYA Industrial Estate’s smart ecosystem is supported by its Smart Intelligent Operations Center (Smart IOC), a centralised real-time command platform that seamlessly connects key operational systems across the estate. Through a single dashboard, the Smart IOC consolidates data from CCTV surveillance, network infrastructure, IoT sensors, fire detection systems, building management systems, and computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS). This enables real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and more efficient infrastructure management, while enhancing operational resilience, safety, and business continuity for tenants.
