Home Buyers Group collaborates with the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University to launch “Chula-Home Dot Tech,” prop tech development project which is applied from data science & machine learning technology to meet requirements of consumers and business sector and improve educational personnel. The group sets to launch many applications including “Home Hop”, a new innovation for home search as the first time in Thailand.

Associate Professor Dr.Supot Teachavorasinskun, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, disclosed that the Faculty collaborates with Home Buyers Guide Company Limited in Industrial Liaison Program (ILP) to operate Chula-Home Dot Tech, prop tech development project which is applied from data science and machine learning to creates new tools for benefits of both consumers and property business as the first time in Thailand.

In addition to benefits of consumers and property sector, this collaboration will be opportunities for data science and machine learning specialists to study and make a real test. This can help improve personnels and create useful activities for engineering students and those from other related faculties, enhancing their experiences in prop tech development in the future.

“We should accept that data science and machine learning specialist in Thailand is currently very few in number and most of them are in educational sector while business sector has in-depth information and real experiences collected for a long time in the field. This is an ultimate collaboration between educational and business sector with a coordination of their strength like a coordination between Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and business sector or startups to create and develop new technology,” Assoc. Prof. Supot said.

The Faculty’s support includes data science and machine learning specialists and those in related fields, with Assistant Professor Dr. Proadpran Punyabukkana, a lecturer at the Department of Computer Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University as the project’s leader; Associate Professor Dr. Atiwong Suchato, Associate Dean (Learning Strategy), the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University as the head of research team; Dr. Ekapol Chuangsuwanich, a lecturer at the Department of Computer Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University as the main researcher; and Dr. Naruemon Pratanwanich, a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University as a researcher.

Mr. Borisut Kasinpila, Managing Director of Home Buyers Guide Company Limited and CEO and Founder of Home Dot Tech Company Limited, said that Home Buyers Guide Co., Ltd., with over 25 years in real estate media business, sees an opportunity in applying information, knowledge and experience to extend with data science and machine learning technology to develop new innovation, overcome pain point and find solution in home purchase for consumer as well as help property developer plan an investment for maximum efficiency. The company collaborates with the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University in the project named Chula-Home Dot Tech and establishes Home Dot Tech Company Limited to develop real estate media technology and innovation.

“In the past, our goal was to be a supportive friend for homebuyers, providing information and knowledge to help them make a decision. Today we still are but will provide information and experiences in a new platform unlike no one with technology and application which can help homebuyers get accurate, efficient information more than people’s ability to learn by their own experiences,” Mr. Borisut says.

As the main goal of the company is to be ‘Trusty Companion for the Home Buying Journey,’ we will develop technology for home search, purchase and others related to home purchase.

Home Dot Tech has started. There are currently both application which is under development and is developed including Home Buyers Analytics for  demand side as the first time in Thailand, Home Dashboard—a marketing management tool, Walk-in Online for property project, Home Hop for home search in line with lifestyle and persona-based requirements which can give a better result than a use of personal experiences—the first time in Thailand, and Home Event, a tool for home fair and a tool for project’s marketing communication, of which version 2 is developed to launch this year.
